🎯 Mission Objectives

Primary Tasks
  1. Bulk Permission Management: Select multiple shared mailboxes and assign Send As permission to a user or group
  2. Room Booking Setup: Configure calendar delegation and booking permissions for a room mailbox
  3. Create Shared Mailbox: Create a new shared mailbox and assign initial permissions
  4. Temporary Access: Grant time-limited Full Access permission with an expiry date
  5. Test Permissions: Use the "Test Send As" feature to verify permission functionality
  6. Delegated View: Check what permissions a specific user has across all mailboxes
  7. Audit Report: Generate a comprehensive audit report showing all permissions with timestamps and actors

📚 Key Concepts

🔴 Send As
Send email appearing to come directly from the mailbox. Requires mailbox to exist in system.
🔵 Send on Behalf
Send email showing "on behalf of" in the sender field. More transparent delegation.
📧 Full Access
Complete read and manage access to mailbox. User can open mailbox in Outlook.
📅 Calendar Delegation
Manage calendar, book meetings, and accept/decline invitations for room mailboxes.
⚠️ Important Notes
  • Permission Inheritance: Users in groups automatically inherit group permissions
  • Conflict Detection: Send As requires the user/group to have a mailbox
  • Room Mailboxes: Require special calendar delegation permissions for booking
  • Temporary Access: Expired permissions are marked and should be removed
  • Audit Trail: All permission changes are logged with actor and timestamp
